A COR is awarded to employers who successfully develop and implement an EHS Management System that meets standards established by provincial Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and recognized by industries across Canada.

Our EHS Management System goes through a comprehensive and detailed review during an annual audit. This audit includes interviews, documentation review and observation techniques which provide opportunities for the improvement of our system. Applied Industrial Technologies is proud to have achieved a COR in Alberta with a score of 90% in 2021.

This major project is comprised of demobilization, transport, installation and construction that will establish, upon project completion a new Distribution Center, Integrated Service Center and Regional Hose Shop available within one 95,000 SQFT location in Nisku, Alberta. A second unified location within the project scope will consist of a newly integrated shop portfolio consisting of Fluid Power, Mechanical, and Machining Services cohesively integrated into a 45,000 SQFT facility based in Edmonton, Alberta.

The AIT NEAR Project has partnered with 25 subcontractors totaling over 14,000 hours to date. NEAR focused heavily on mitigation management coupled with a comprehensive onboarding process to ensure high risk hazards were controlled or eliminated. Utilizing the factors of best practice and applying our safety first approach they have been able to achieve “0 Recordable Injuries”.
